ORBIT (ticker: GRIFT) is an all-in-one decentralized finance (DeFi) platform that utilizes AI agents to facilitate and execute on-chain actions based on user prompts in natural language. This approach simplifies interactions across various blockchain protocols, making DeFi more accessible to users.

The platform currently supports over 116 blockchains and integrates with more than 178 different DeFi protocols, enabling users to interact seamlessly across multiple blockchain ecosystems.

The native utility token of the ORBIT platform is GRIFT. This token is used for:

> Transaction Fees: Covering fees for any on-chain actions performed by the AI agents, such as executing trading strategies or optimizing liquidity positions.

> Creating Custom AI Agents: Allowing users to design and deploy personalized AI agents tailored to specific DeFi strategies.

> Governance: Enabling token holders to participate in decision-making processes regarding the platform's development and future features.

Orbit (GRIFT) is a DeFi platform that integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify and enhance user interactions within the DeFi ecosystem. The platform's core innovation, known as the Orbit Agent, combines AI and blockchain technology to provide automated asset management services. 

This agent can automatically adjust investment portfolios based on market dynamics and user risk preferences, enabling intelligent investments. Users can entrust their assets to the Orbit Agent through simple operations and enjoy investment returns comparable to human management.

The Orbit project was co-founded by Christopher Ries and Ryan McNutt. Ries, one of the initial data science hires at Cylance—a cybersecurity startup acquired by BlackBerry for $1.4 billion—began exploring cryptocurrency in 2014 while investigating its use in early ransomware variants. McNutt, a multi-time founder with a background in AI, developed an interest in crypto in 2017 through a Bitcoin trading bot that combined two AI algorithms.

The two met through a colleague while Christopher worked at Oracle, and in December 2021 began work on a project which focused on allowing developers to offer chain-abstracted experiences to their users. This project evolved into what is now ORBIT.

Orbit's native token, GRIFT, was first listed for trading on December 7, 2024.

As of February 2025, Orbit's roadmap includes plans to enhance its platform by introducing features such as automated agent wallets, strategy-specific agents, and expanded accessibility through various platforms like mobile apps and messaging services. These initiatives aim to further improve user experience and broaden the platform's reach.

The ORBIT (GRIFT) token serves multiple functions within its decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem:

> Platform Access: Holders gain exclusive access to premium features, community events, and product upgrades.

> Buybacks and Rewards: A portion of the platform's net income (30–50%) is allocated for open-market buybacks of GRIFT tokens, which are then redistributed to long-term holders, stakers, or liquidity providers, aligning incentives and rewarding community participation.

Additionally, GRIFT tokens are actively traded on various cryptocurrency exchanges, including KuCoin. On KuCoin's spot market, users can trade GRIFT against USDT, allowing for liquidity and price discovery.

The ORBIT (GRIFT) tokenomics are designed to ensure the platform's sustainable growth and align incentives among all stakeholders. The total supply of GRIFT tokens is 1,000,000,000, distributed as follows:

1. Liquidity Pool (2%): Unlocked at the Token Generation Event (TGE) to provide immediate liquidity and reduce volatility.

2. Treasury (5%): Vested over five months, with 1% unlocking each month, to support operations, marketing, exchange listings, or additional liquidity as needed.

3. Community (2%): 0.5% unlocked at TGE, with the remaining 1.5% released in phases to fund airdrops, rewards, and community incentive programs, maintaining high engagement.

4. Team & Investors (3%): Locked for 12 months to demonstrate long-term commitment and confidence in the project.

The remaining 88% of tokens are already in circulation or otherwise accounted for, ensuring transparency for current holders.

In addition to the initial distribution, 30–50% of the platform's net revenue is allocated for open-market buybacks of GRIFT tokens. These repurchased tokens are then redistributed to long-term holders, stakers, or liquidity providers, aligning incentives and rewarding community participation.
